Legally Dloaded new Sleigh Bells, Heartless Bastards, Dr. Dog, The Go Team. All but Dr. Dog underwhelmed so far. Dr. Dog whelmed.

I caught em in dc. it was all ages. the crowd was evenly split between wildly enthusiastic kids and indie arm crossers. Those kids are gonna change the world, man. wu lyf is for the kids.
also they were pretty kickass, if a little green

Go tell fire was my favorite of the year, hands down. Campesinos is up there too. I'm not one to debate these lists, but I find it disheartening that WU LYF isn't even in the conversation. Admittedly neither release captured that laurel canyon sound.

the atrocity exhibition
has got to be among the strangest, most interesting books ever in regard to format and story structure, or lack of. got into my brain and made nitemares. plus the seeds for 'crash' are in some of the passages.
