eh.

Eh those 2 episodes aren't even the 2 best episodes of the show. That goes to probably the pilot, Ariel or War Stories.
But you love Angel the most, which is cool :)

I've always loved the story of the ending (where the screen flickers for a bit) of 'Last Temptation of Christ' being an accident that Scorcese left in the film. It adds a mystique to the whole scene that makes it even better.

Thanks :)
I like how the comments here both clear this up for me, and leave me a little more confused, if only because the show is a bit inconsistent with how it plays RI.

Only just up to the merge. But he has had almost half a dozen confessionals proclaiming his desire to blindside people and see them cry, and he says it all in a slightly goofy funny way that makes him so endearing.

I'm currently watching Tocantins (Tyson's original season) and really loving this guy. He has such a giddy love of the game, but as he says in this episode he doesn't take it so seriously that he burns out.

So how does Redemption Island work? I missed the season/s it was in. I mean besides the obvious of them getting voted out then competing and the loser going out of the game. Does someone have to win like 3 times to get back in? And does this go on even after the merge?

I knew it would be brother/brother. Sibling rivalry's can be more mixed up than the other dynamics, and the added backstory for these 2 guys makes it even more compelling.

"catch ya on the flip side" was the highlight of the episode for me. Like wow, Colton is all drama, Caleb is all chilled. What's weird is I could not imagine myself ever wanting to talk to Colton, but Caleb seems like someone I would love to be friends with.

I have Brad as one of my picks in the draft competition, but I was really rooting for him to get kicked out this episode. Ugh such a douche.

Everyone else has said far worse players, but I like saying Colby, just cause he made the most obvious example of a move that cost him a win.
But obviously the worst player is Chicken. The guy knew how to make a good shelter and refused to do much of anything. But I did love his exit.

I actually might consider that my favourite season of the show…but the way this season is structured means it won't be as thrilling/shocking to see an all-loser tribe.

I love seeing Jeff's love for the game (/hatred of quiters) come out, and this was perhaps his strongest moment in recent memory of it.

While the lyrics can be cringe-y, they are sung with such sincere passion that it kind of wins me over.

My predictions:
Jeff admits his love and proposes to Brad.
Rupert shaves his beard and then asks his wife to take his spot in redemption island.
Colton doesn't offend anyone.
Gervase swims laps around everyone, but is humble about this achievement.
Candice is entertaining.

eh it won an oscar, but it didn't win a 'robothouse thoroughly enjoyed this film' award, so take that Argo !

I'm trying to remember why I even picked him. I knew very little about the returning players. Totally forgot I knew Laura from Samoa, as that season was so Shambo and Russel centric.
I guess I saw brawn and was like 'eh he should do ok for a while at least.' I have hopes for Kat, but too early to tell on that.

This gives me hope. I still haven't watched last seasons finale, out of some sort of HIMYM lethargy I was feeling late last season. But I will jump back in for this premiere.

It is an element of sitcoms that I haven't always understood, that the characters don't actually enjoy the funny things each other say. HIMYM seem like my own group of friends, always trying to one up each other to see who can get the biggest laugh.

Yeah that is what surprised me. Season 7 had a really strong run, particularly in the middle of the season, while season 8 was a disappointment. But they have swung back into strength before, and I think pushing towards the end should help with that.
