You're right. Banditos is a great song (with a non-nerdy Start Trek reference to boot), but I think that the album qualifies under the "unexpectedly great start to finish" category. But the main Fastball song (The Way) got so irritating so fast that I was floored when the whole album turned out to be pretty great.

Here's the thing about Goodkind:  he actually concluded his fucking series. Sure it was a book or three too long, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. The world needs more high fantasy with serious BDSM.

Jordan started making big bucks of the series and abandoned the original seven volume plan in order to milk that cash cow for everything it was worth. Only problem was he never rewrote the story, so he had a seven volume story stretched over 14 books.

As far as I'm concerned Mat died in A Crown of Swords (or whenever) when he got to Tear and stayed - doing absolutely dick - for 8,000 years. Thank God Jordan gave us two million pages describing the exact nothing he wasn't doing.
