We now return to The Bohring World of Niels Bohr.

Neighborhood  #1 (first track, first album) has a disco dance beat to it, so this isn't completely new for them. But yes, I agree. But it's more appropriate in a year when the number one single of year features Nile Rodgers, so…

That is literally the best description of this song.

reflekteur, pronounced super nasally.

YES, DISCO IS COOL AGAIN IN 2013. WE GET IT.

Yes that was rambling, but much more coherent than the similar jumble of thoughts floating around in my head on the same subject.
Maybe I'm just getting older but I really don't give two shits about the "voice of my generation". If anything, getting older has taught me that these kinds of labels are useless and silly.

I like the song, but how much of it is just excitement that there's a new Arcade Fire album coming out? Either way I'll be listening to this repeatedly for the next 1.5 months.

Got it. And yes. Really weird. I like it.

This sounds more like Arcade Fire influence on an LCD song, rather than t'other way round. I'll reserve judgment until I hear the rest of the album, though. Sounds promising.

Maybe it's just me, but for me, I like this band a lot.

It's pretty common to say they've sucked since Funeral, but I wouldn't call that a "purist" so much as a "I was a teenager in 2004".

Where? I'm too lazy to look.

Pre-emptive anti-backlash? I like it.

Art makes me uncomfortable when it insists on forcing me to look at myself.

Rose Parade by Elliott Smith. Though, that's more of a Portland song than an Oregon song…

They have a song called The Cascades so you're not far off (I'm also from Oregon so I endorse this choice).

I started typing something about the Nyquist Sampling Theorem, but I got bored and did something else instead.

My parents still have mine and it still works.

Easy to tell the difference. Just announce that you're pregnant or something else wacky and unexpected. If you hear [record scratch], then you know it's vinyl.

@avclub-17c3613df50203d147fc87ccd0f1436d:disqus  There is something to be said about making music listening a less passive activity. Vinyl is finicky enough to require your attention, so there's always that.
