I only saw this because my friends and I were drunk one night and decided "hey, let's go to a movie, why not?" That's also how I saw Jackass 3D.

@avclub-cd3695fb409b3ce6dc60ca44b08983ac:disqus Shhhh! Don't give him any ideas.

Liked because my gf's sister, a heavily committed feminist / academic / social activist, wishes people would fucking stop with all the Foucault references, already.

After the first few episodes, my first thought was "oh, so Don is dead and/or dying this season and this is some kind of Purgatory?" Then I remembered this isn't LOST, and furthermore, I'm not smart enough to figure out what Wiener is up to, and therefore I must be wrong.

Your statement that "everyone hates Twitter" is laughable considering it's the #2 social media site in the world. Not all of us enjoy the medium. So what?

I worked in a daycare for a number of years, so I'd heard that song hundreds of times before it became a meme. Kids love that goofy Raffi shit.

@avclub-e8e1ea96f3b1bf8e7400065325e188c8:disqus  And this might be at the heart of the generational gap. I never used Twitter because it never gave me a reason to use it. If all my friends suddenly adopted it en masse, I probably would jump on board. But I don't have a stream of 140-or-less ideas that must be made

It's strange. I'm 32 and I don't know anyone my own age who uses Twitter, but when I look at my slightly younger friends (29 and down) they're all over it. It's such a stark generational gap over just a couple of years.

Is your sister 3? Three year olds love bananaphone!

Except "Mystery Date".

Me too. I want to use it more, but I have little reason to be in Beverly Hills these days.

I think that TV show Robert made an offhand comment about Targaryen/Baratheon relations at some point, but it was such a fleeting mention that you wouldn't notice unless you'd already read it in the books.

As far as Video Games based on pop culture, nothing beats the Great Gatsby.

"And when I was writing Devil's Haircut, I was feeling very….wait, what was that song about?"

Don't listen to the "bail after season 3" people. Season 4 has some great moments, including Dinner Party, one of the most uncomfortably hilarious episodes the show ever did.

Serious answer: There is a broad dislike for "upper class whiny white boy" music (a term I used often in my record-store days to describe the likes of Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, et al.), though that dislike is often rooted in cultural biases that exist independent of the music itself. Though I enjoy VW quite a bit (M

That was the first time I've enjoyed Ed Helms in quite a while. "I mean, you don't need a wine cellar, if you're okay having tastings in your butler's quarters."

Eight bells refers to the watch length. You ring one bell after the first half-hour…

We'd predicted several weeks ago that the new season would be declared a disappointment regardless of whether it was good or not. Actually, I'm surprised at the general positivity of the fan response compared to the critics. Ah well.

I thought a lot of the fun from the new episodes was watching the convoluted order and seeing how certain reveals play out.
