I disagree. The movie wasn't perfect, but I thought he did a really good job humanizing the characters. He also did wonders  bringing a world to life that I thought was rather thinly realized and strangely written in the source material.

But seriously, this is too bad. I saw Hunger Games and thought it was really, really good. Far better than I would have thought. I read the book and thought it was fairly meh. Ross did an amazing job bringing it to life though, and the performances were top notch.

So the director who is eventually chosen won't be their first choice?
