Hey Everyone!
Just a note to those in Chicago, if you want to see 500 Days of Summer, go now, all the hipsters are at the park! Free seats for all! Headaches for some!

One of the gems.
It really is a pretty great minor movie. The black and white is great, too.
This is not a love story, it's a minor SPOILER.
I feel pretty much the same about the film, and seeing it a second time highlighted those faults, and there so many moments in the film that are wonderful that it makes it even worse when it slips into cliche. I love, love, love the scene where they're looking at…
Big Fan..oh wait
I love the orignal series The Thick of it and I look forward to the film.
All I Ever Wanted
It's taken me several posts to realize [Vacation.] is not a movie title.
That Anton Ego scene
…pushed me over the top with Ratatouille. I saw it a week before it opened so I had no preconceived notion of it's quality beyond it being Pixar and Brad Bird, but while I loved it until then, that scene assured me it was a great movie, animation or otherwise. The writing in that film is…
YOU"RE THE FIRST PERSON TO NOTICE THAT, ASTRO SCIENTICIAN!
Ugh
What a dumb fucking idea…
Hee Haw
I believe it's called HawthoRNe, because she's like an RN or something.
September. But September what, we don't know yet.
"The show, a half-hour comedy, will premiere September 20th. It stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, and Zach Galifianakis."
Silas and Celia
I have a theory as to how they are going to connect Celia to everyone else, and that is that the Mexicano man she's staying with now is part of the same group who took Silas' stuff in the woods. You notice there's clearly a large operation going on, inwhich the battered guy is a small peg in, and I…
Hmm…
So you guys lost those video interns, huh? Yeah…
The Taco Bell Dana Carvey-less Show
I think I'm prejudiced partially because I didn't see Carvey when he was on SNL but he never struck me as funny in the least bit. The Dana Carvey show seems like amazingly good taste and the luck of having Robert Smigel running the show. Even in the best character bits, Skinheads…
Yes but I prefer they not be Wayans Brothers spoof movies.
More Chins than a Chinese Phonebook
I laughed at Amy Sedaris in the trailer, but that was only a momentary break from the groan enduced by the other two and a half minutes of the trailer.
What I meant to say was…
My complaining has probably only cemented it in my mind, so it's kinda my fault.
I was skimming, and I read it. Granted, I chose to read it, etc., but it seems to me like festival write-ups are for people who are not at the festival, and thus don't have access to these films, but are interested in them, and the writer's thoughts on them. I still think they should be more vague.
I didn't say he spoiled the plot, I said he gave away the last line. I never see a reason for anyone doing that unless it's an actual piece of film criticism, inwhich discussing it has soem merit, but for a festival write-up, it's best to be a bit more vague. I find.
Hey, a new Alain Renais movie!
Oh, sure i"ll read the review, what's that? Last line of dialogue! THANKS FOR RUINING IT YOU SON OF A BITCH.
