I'd also heard talk that the toyline wasn't moving well and that helped sink it. Of course, the toys sucked so they had their own problems.

They were working on American Dad when the Family Guy renewal came through. I think it was Fox giving McFarlane another shot and then deciding they wanted the original but they kept AD as well.

This episode reminded me of The Dark Knight in that it had Eric Roberts, Joshua Harto and a deadly pencil.

You're right. It's a process that's always shown to be way too short or its settled on surface level.

The interview would be at the office but there are occasional home visits, yes?

And he does very little work on the strips since the late '90s.

I was one of the 418,707 Californians who voted for Nader in 2000 and I don't regret it. Nader got 3.82% of the popular vote and 0 of the state's electoral college votes. The same amount of electoral college votes as Bush. Gore had 11.80% more of the popular vote than Bush giving him all 54 of our electoral votes. I

This wouldn't work as a show. Instead NBC should make a show out of Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream Home.

He did visit the Fountain of Youth with Ponce de Leon.

That girl is sitting on the table! This party is off the hook!

The first three seasons were 22, 22 and 20 episodes. The fourth season was only 10. It was definitely ABC letting the show wrap stuff up. But it's a very satisfying end. When my wife and I last rewatched we waited a long time before watching the last episode because it's just so draining. In a good way.

Oh, you're right. Kansas has both the geographic center of the US and the geodetic center of the US. I just misremembered which spots they were, I didn't mean to insist that the continent was the same as the country.

At this point the show really starts letting it's supporting cast develop. It's always fun rewatching the early episodes and noticing that Trip is standing right there! He even said something! Expect to see a lot of him.

Yeah. As angry as the suit made him the the settlement was even worse.

I couldn't get very far in this but this was a particularly great part on the opening sequence: "It’s a little over five completely dialogue-free minutes (ignoring the voiceover, since it’s disconnected from what’s playing out on screen) — almost an entirely self-contained music video — and it’s packed absolutely full

Here's another old interview with Moore specifically on adaptations of his work and any work in general: http://www.mtv.com/shared/m…
This is of course after From Hell and LoEG, during V for Vendetta and before Watchmen. I think it was Joel Silver using Moore's name and making up fake endorsements that was the breaking

Since Kansas is home to both the geographic center of the (continental) United States and North America, the answer to the question if Kansas is near NY or CA is "yes."

The lack of regularly produced albums eliminated Stevie Wonder (aka "Little Stevie Wonder") from my mind too. Solo eliminated Michael Jackson. I knew Britney was wrong and settled on Beiber.

I missed Arthur's first week but I'm on board with these last two episodes so this is the first I've seen him play. He's great and really does get in the zone. I particularly love when someone buzzes in before him (when he's trying) and he glares at them. A perfect mix of shock and disgust.

While this seems plausible his Grand Unified Pixar theory is nonsense. People at Pixar put in fun references to other projects over the course of 20+ years and a fan takes it all too literally and tries to make sense of it. It's amusing but not worth thinking about twice.
