He's around the same age as Hartnell.

What's distinctly male about the Doctor, though? James Bond fits into common images of masculinity so well that casting a female Bond would by necessity involve a lot of metacommentary about gender and sex and violence. I don't think you could just cast a Jane Bond, shrug, and play it straight.
Moffat sure loves and respects women!
'gl'?
@avclub-52daa17a306006563a5361c316f87c7b:disqus I hadn't heard anything about Albini being a shitty person. He can be kind of a caustic asshole, but everything I've heard about him suggests he's a pretty upstanding guy. I may have missed some news about him being a wifebeater or something, though.
"anvillicous title card"
That is pretty faithful for a Butthole Surfers cover.
How can anyone not like the harmonies in "The One I Love"?
A martini without vermouth isn't a martini, it's just gin. It's okay if you just want to drink a glass of gin, but just accept that you're drinking a glass of gin.
The latter.
She looks about 35 in the picture above, though. I don't know what they did, but she looks way older in this movie than in real life or in other stuff.
Yeah, let's not be ridiculous. He's a handsome man, he's funny, he's probably really charming in person. I'd probably go down on him and I'm straight.
Fuck your autoplay horseshit!
I don't really give a shit about Lady Gaga, but she's basically Madonna, right? She has some glossy pop tunes, she's sexually provocative, she does some 'crazy' photo shoots, whatever. She does songs about believing in yourself and being who you are. She's a pop fantasy in the normal register.
How lucky that she had her family's wealth to rescue her from the normal outcome of her behavior (a lifetime of poverty, disease, and madness).
A dear friend of mine was just gushing about how beautiful 'Lana del Rey" is (I don't get it, personally) and how it's impossible to look so good, etc. I was frankly amazed that she didn't realize how much fucking plastic surgery "del Rey" has had.
Isn't "Working In A Coal Mine" much closer to the stereotype of Devo than "Satisfaction"?
I love that Trent Reznor was disappointed by that cover, too.
It's got to be Terraform for me, if only for "Rush Job" and "Song Of The Minerals".
"Shellac wouldn’t stray from the abrasive, biting style of his shorter-lived previous bands, Big Black and Rapeman"
