At least once he had his deep man voice. The very, very early squeaky Tom is weird.

Robot Holocaust is pretty good, and Weinstein's Tom is great in it.

I like their treatment of This Island Earth but it's a little unfair, because they cut the movie so deeply it doesn't make much sense. That doesn't appear to have been Best Brains' fault — Miramax made them cut the whole movie so much that it's shorter than any episode.

Nog, Brunt, cousin Gaila, the eliminator from "The Magnificent Ferengi"… actually, the entire cast of that episode.

I seem to recall Zack didn't like "Little Green Men" very much. I think he liked the rest of those, though. You're right, though: DS9 had a pretty good batting average when it came to light-hearted episodes, and I'd rather watch the crappiest joke episode ("Profit and Lace") than the crappiest drama episode

Tell. me. about. it.

He's a bratty kid who grows up over the course of the show. Of course, it helps that Aron Eisenberg was an adult, so you don't get the normal child actor weaknesses. I love Jake Sisko and I think Cirroc Lofton did a pretty good job, but it was despite his limitations as an actor.

Was it a story about her opinion of black people? Because it wouldn't surprise me if that would get her banned.

Amelie is much better in the long form. The Hatecasts were amazing, and the Hater was consistently hilarious. Her infrequent jokes on Twitter are generally incomprehensible.

If you want to know what Amelie actually thinks about Toddlers & Tiaras, you could read what she wrote on the subject:

DS9's writers made a point of not writing cliffhangers, which I think is commendable.

It's so adorable when Rom fumbles over asking Sisko to preside over their wedding. I love that galoot.

I would think that the less disguised the reference is, the more clearly it is a homage.

@avclub-b3fe4f5a8793b5499e143cdf1253caff:disqus I fervently agree. I much prefer the DS9 (and earlier, X-Files) style of low-key continuity with intermittent serialization to the current style of constant serialization. I find it makes the show less exhausting to watch.

I like how he says "hope". "Ho-puh".

"You… will not ALLOW?" is my favorite Weyoun line delivery. For just a moment the smarmy diplomat face drops and the cold imperious Dominion adjutant comes out.

Those damn eeee. peee. esss conduits.

@avclub-4c37107b9dedb73b90f677930bf7728b:disqus I think that was a joke.

Yeah, "let me tell you about this one time my crazy ex tried to smash my head in with a whiskey bottle and then tried to kill herself with the shards" turns out to be kind of a downer when you're reminiscing with the dudes.
