I'd be a bit surprised, because Robinson was apparently kind of sensitive about being typecast for that role.

"we all know these comments are all dudes, right?"
The one where Riker doesn't kill a dude is really good, though. And "Drumhead" is kind of a mystery episode and it's great, although the solution to the mystery is kind of secondary to the plot.
Hmm, I didn't realize this was related to that. I'll have to watch more carefully next time I get to S7.
"A Man Alone" isn't bad for being the second episode of the series. I'm watching the series from the beginning with a friend and it's been surprisingly decent so far (next up is "Captive Pursuit", we just started).
From a practical perspective, I think Gene lost all right to be the arbiter of what happens in Star Trek with The Motion Picture. They took it away from him after that and it improved the movies. Then they gave him a lot of control of TNG, and we got TNG season 1. Then they took that away from him and it got better.
It's like closing a tab. You want to free up that memory, man.
What a pleasing pattern indeed…
The MOAR really does end up working, is the thing. I understand why Siddig hated it, but it retroactively makes a lot of sense and it sets up some amazing stuff later (although we do have to suffer through a handful of Bashir-as-human-computer scenes).
Weird, I kind of like that song in the go-go club for some reason. It always stands out to me. It is pretty weird, though.
What do you mean?
Federation computers are all LISP machines, so you can always work around access controls if you really want to. Obviously. :P
If it's anything like TNG, "Computer, arch" should be enough, right? It's "Computer, show me the—" in the script. "door" would presumably be the next word.
"Paradise Lost" is soooo good, though. I love the detective-work element to it and that amazing conversation between Leyton and Sisko. Both of them, actually — the one at the restaurant and the one in his office.
He's really great at those kind of tension/eruption expressions, gestures, and exclamations.
Behr is way too hard on these episodes. They're amazing. And I like that DS9 has slightly less tight serialization at this point, even if it was a result of studio meddling.
"she's hotter"
Baryon sweep, right? (which is even sillier.)
Strunk & White is outdated and never had a legitimate claim to being anything other than E.B. White's personal opinion on how English should be written. His opinion doesn't carry any more correctness than that of any other writer,
Talking to your mirror again, Treach?
