What concerns me is how frequently I see people dismissing abusive, threatening behavior as probably just some public kink. I have repeatedly see people dismiss obvious red-flag behavior from a bullying partner as "eh, maybe so-and-so is into that kind of thing."

Capitalization games are really close to being my number one pet peeve with the scene. I and a friend used to text back and forth messages on ridiculously domestic subjects using D/s capitalization, like: "you will drive the scion and purchase Chips for Me to consume, and you will gas up the scion, for I will be

Hmm. Well, it was definitely post-Ultra (because I remember there being a cool light effect during "Barrel Of A Gun") and definitely pre-Exciter. Must have been just a one-off scheduled by a local radio station or something. And Stabbing Westward was definitely there. Their show was not very good.

Oh, sure. I love Black Celebration and Some Great Reward like crazy, too, and there's good stuff on most of their other albums.

Men In Tights and Spaceballs are both perfectly funny movies. I think they get shit on for being corny as hell, but Mel Brooks is corny as hell in general.

I had that same reaction. I get the impression from that and the remark about the "wet and hysterical" scene that Phil doesn't care for The Producers, which… I can't fathom it.

I saw them on the Ultra tour. It was, uh, my first concert. I think Stabbing Westward opened for them — remember those dudes?

Making fun of Depeche Mode is always funny, even though they're a pretty good band. It's just like how it will never not be funny to joke about how Keith Richards is a cyborg zombie.

"We're going to release an album a lot like our last really good album and its far inferior follow-up. So, have fun guessing which it's more like!"

Why would you admit that?
