ANGELO BADALAMENTI OR GTFO.
It's not often I would describe a TV show with the qualifier "thrilling" but this definitely fits the bill. I can't believe how much stuff they crammed into just the first 30 minutes…and then to keep that momentum not only going but ramp it up a little more, was nuts. I also can't believe how something that was…
Another fine edition of THE PEP TALK HOUR™. At least this time, Iris's gabbing had an actual effect on Barry that served the plot. I did actually really enjoy this episode - hopefully messing with his brain causes Happy Barry to occasionally take the wheel of Mopey Barry. THE FLASH should always be the goofy kid…
I always get a good chuckle from LUCIFER but with this episode it was consistent, rather than the odd one-liner here and there. "A foursome isn't an emotion, mum!" was brilliant, as was Lucifer chucking Trixie the keys to his Corvette so she could drive.
I don't buy that someone as smart and savvy as Lena would go from being pissed at Rhea to making googly eyes at her as a surrogate mum so quickly/easily, but at least this was all resolved really quickly instead of dragging it out over a million episodes. I'd also like to think that Lena's smart enough to have…
All I could think during this clip was WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY CHILDHOOD?! which I believe covers just about any and all criticisms.
THE MIST is my favourite King story, and I love the film (though I prefer the story ending, for it's bleak ambiguity) but this trailer (and the one before it) makes it look like, for this show, the mist itself is evil, which is a BALLS idea. Give me my giant Lovecraftian monsters, please!
Cor blimey. What a cracking episode! I've enjoyed pretty much every episode so far but this one pulled out all the stops. I honestly didn't expect the 'Coopers are Blossoms' revelation at all. That's NUTS. So what on earth could possibly happen in the *actual* final episode? Jughead eats a burger, surely?
My favourite moment of this episode was when Felicity stuck the adrenalin into Oliver and he bolted awake like he had no idea what was going on.
And so now we have conclusive proof that Barry Allen, a forensic scientist who can speed-read/process complex scientific textbooks, took an inordinate amount of time to figure out who his latest nemesis is. You're the worst, Barry!
Glad this is back! I read recently that the last few episodes on this season (maybe the ones we're now on to?) are their own little 'arc', as they were extra episodes the creative team didn't expect they'd get to chance to make. With that in mind, I'm excited to see where they end the actual season - if they keep…
I'm liking Jones as Rand - his naivety is quite refreshing in its way and I like that he's not as intense as all the other Defenders (AND I don't think he's anywhere near as bad an actor as a lot of reviews state) - although I do agree that the fight scenes aren't even half as visceral as Daredevil and seem to lack a…
I'm pretty sure the Shadow King (let's call him that for the sake of argument) can been seen with his back to the camera at the start of the episode, wearing an orange Clockworks outfit and doing a sort of dance with another patient. Which is cool, and now makes me wonder if he/it's hidden in other scenes throughout…
I agree! I really love how Chase's intensity boiled over in this episode into full-blown menace, yet always tightly contained in that sinister grin. "Guess I'm going to have to kill my wife!" *smirk*
That was GLORIOUS. The only thing missing from it were some choice Mick quotes, but seeing him casually steal a cigar was pretty funny.
Jay: You need to do what you do best, Barry!
Barry: Save everybody!
Jay: I was going to say 'muck everything up' but sure, save everybody, see how that works out for you.
Richard: You guys, those Saviours are real dicks. We should fight them.
Everyone else: Sure, Richard. What's the plan?
Richard: The plan is WE FIGHT THEM.
I was genuinely surprised by all that. This was my favourite episode in a long time, because we got to spend it with some of the more interesting characters (Ezekiel, Richard, Morgan and Carol).
I honestly thought Evil Rip was going to pretend to be Normal Rip, but that bit at the end where he's back in reality and chats with Gideon strongly suggests I was utterly wrong. Boo! On that note: how could a computer remember what happened inside Rip's mind? Unless Gideon has an actual consciousness?! That's nuts. I…
