Was there really a Watchmen member named Ride Warrior? Or was that only added for the film?

I'm sure some fan will edit the two together if they don't release the Black Freighter version. I can't decide if I should wait though, because I plan to only sit through Zack Snyder's Watchmen once. I want the full/ultimate version experience so I can hate on it thoroughly.
