No one has shared their opinion on the quality of Simpsons episodes relative to their airing preceding or following the year 1997.

Hmm… I'll probably be less embarrassed by my liking Sleigh Bells in ten years than I would be if I still liked Cake.

Really? Nerds are the least likely to actually pay for music.

You forgot The Wire

No, but Radnor does freak out when the little kid hasn't heard of the Clash.

I'm not sure if "Cliches by the Boatload" is making fun of how horribly cliched Modern Family is, or how its become a cliche here to hate it, but… goddamn that show is a boring mess of cliches.

Louie is what Curb would be if Curb starred someone who was actually funny.

Yeah, show me a brutal action movie featuring a team of dog catchers.
Or Maytag repairmen.
Like the lives of spies, their careers are perfect for exciting action movie plots.

Fantastic Mr. Fox was adorable.

Hmmm… I'd honestly put Adaptation as his best movie.
Maybe it's just because I've seen Eternal Sunshine a few too many times.

@abcdefz

So…
I want to be awful and pretentious and make fun of this show for being repetitive crap. But, then I remember that I watch Castle every week.
I guess we all need our crap TV every now and then. I just don't see the need for so many.

Eh, at its best, The Walking Dead feels like middling episodes of Lost or BSG. At its worst (the 2nd ep.), its SyFy Original Movie bad.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool chamber piece sort of movie, filmed pretty well.

Yeah, from now on I only want my superheroes delivered in musical form.

@Evan Waters: Not necessarily. My point was that the production, cinematography, and most of the acting was top notch. The script, however, was so bad that the craftmanship (what I meant by "well made") could not make up for its "mind-boggling shittiness."

It wasn't Bruce Lee, but it was a skinny kid wearing a viking helmet

Yeah, I'm surprised no one else brought them up.

Shutter Island may be the perfect example of a really well made, mind-bogglingly shitty movie.

Yeah, its pretty mediocre with a good actor at its center. Pretty much like House.
But then, hey, I gave up on it seasons ago.
