I think what many people are puzzled by here is the sudden change in tone. The last two episodes were horrific and dark, and tough to watch. Here, things were zippy and (relatively) upbeat. It was fun. For most of the season, everything went to hell. Here, everything went perfectly.

He can always look up Badger and Skinny Pete. They have plenty of cash now!

Agreed. Great feature.

It still wasn't explained. Why would he be in touch with the island more than others?

Completely correct. The producers knew people were speculating about all these mysteries, that they wanted cool, coherent answers. They didn't get any.

I think the question is: What set Walt off? We are all assuming it's his ego.

Yeah I agree, as I stated above, this show has gotten a little too bleak. Four four seasons it's been pretty consistently entertaining. Now it's just heart-wrenching.

I was both mad and impressed with the show this week …

Breaking Bad related …Geez … did they have to do … what they did? That sucked.

Lou Grant's no MTM, and certainly it doesn't have as great as ensemble cast. But it has its moments, and of course Ed Asner is extremely likable, and a brilliant actor.

The name "Jesse" is kind of like Jesus.

Totally agree. Mainly because there is no hipper-than-thou tone; it's kind of like, "I hate this, but I kind of understand how people like it." Usually with Hatesong I end up hating the interview subject more than the song.

Well, again, I'm no lawyer, but if they charged her — and presumably, once they go through the books they would have plenty of evidence — the defense would have to prove that it WAS duress. (Which, as we know, it arguably wasn't.) So yes, they could make life pretty bad for her, because even though you are

Yes, but they can still use her culpability for dramatic purposes. They can still have Marie - or the Feds - find out the whole truth. It is the one few truths left in the story that not everyone knows.

He's like John Hinckley, only with meth.

Cool. That was my theory too (see up). Also, they was already a scene where the Nazis disdained lab safety.

It's kind of sad to see AMC make all this effort for a show that seems pretty shaky right now.

We know he wants to be a good cook to impress Lydia. So that is probably behind this. Kind of silly, but …

Here is a theory: Was that reference in the flashback to Jesse in the smoking in the RV put there deliberately? It has already been well-established that the Nazis are not sticklers for lab safety. Could Jesse just reach the end of his rope and try to blow the whole place up?

Here's a suggestion … How about when a show airs that you don't have a recap ready for (like Mad Men … all right, mostly Mad Men) … You just open it to comments and then post the recaps when you got em. Because it seems to me, people here mostly like to talk.
