Yeah, I think what made them interesting is they were, for a while, special comments - he didn't do them all the time. They were for the things that legitimately pissed him off.
From the 70s sitcom division:
I don't really understand the "10 representative episodes" instead of "10 best episodes" tack. Who cares if something is representative, unless you're trying to be a TV scholar? I assume most of us watch TV to enjoy ourselves. And with so much out there, you want to know what's good. There are plenty of classic shows…
I think the Fugitive also inspired/influenced the 70s Incredible Hulk TV show.
CBS used to show this a lot, back when watching a movie on TV was a big event.
Great flick. No more be said.
Well, there are have been a lot of TV shows - several decades worth. But it's definitely the most entertaining one, probably of the last ten years.
Then again, you could make the case that, when so many viewers object to something, either 1) the viewers are idiotic, as you put it, and 2) the writing isn't clear enough. And even number one is kind of a cop-out, because you write to your audience.
I am also not clear how Hank has figured so much about Walt so quickly (before Jesse's confession, I mean.) It's one thing you realize: Ok, this guy is the meth cook Heisenberg? But what tied him to the jailhouse killing? The murder of Gus Fring?
I like Marie inheriting her husband's obsession about Walt. Killing her sister would be too dark though. That said, I think that Skyler's not going to make it. There aren't many other ways her story can go.
Right. And the idea that he wouldn't call anyone from the hotel room is bizarre too. Does he have a family?
Indeed, Gus' anger over Hector led to his undoing. It was the only sphere he was driven by emotion, and not cool and methodical.
Very similar to when Mary Tyler Moore called Mr. Grant "Lou." She was pissed.
Clearly, Walt is going to be in servitude to the Nazis from now on. And with both them and the law on his tail, he will likely take Saul's new identity route. That is what the flash-forward seems to indicate.
I completely agree. Like the second season flash-forward, too gimmicky.
First off, just to be clear, they meant the CD format will be dead …
On "Sound Opinions," one of the hosts predicted CDs will be dead within five years. Think about that.
Yeah, 8-tracks combined the worst of records (limited skipping) with the worst of cassettes (they constantly jammed.)
The Girls and The Dogs. Not his song, but still quite cool. He really gets into it.
