Me too, but the real star was Chuck the wonder dog.
Me too, but the real star was Chuck the wonder dog.
Late to the party but I agree with your comment that things liven up in the second half. It basically becomes "The Warriors", which is a good thing.
I don't know that I'd honestly settle on this, but it would have been great to see some of those William Castle films in the theater. I've never actually seen the films (what's the point, at home?) but Joe Dante and John Waters' (among others) stories about seeing them back in the day sound awesome. I might go with…
Is there a site that keeps track of the music selection on the show? I always recognize the background stuff that plays in the bars (for example) but can't always nail down the exact song. I'm pretty sure I heard Kruder & Dorfmeister in that scene but can't remember the name of the song. I think it was "DJ Kicks" -…
Agree. He didn't go there with the express purpose of sabotaging Chuck but once he saw the opening, he took it.
I doubt that's what will happen but I've been wrong (several times) in my comments. That would be a bridge too far for Gilligan - I have faith that he won't fuck with the viewers like that. He know's that we are attentive (see: "FRING'S BACK" from last season). Not only would it be illegal but there's no way he…
That was pretty much my (wrong) guess. Simply changing one's name wouldn't circumvent bar rules but the name change might have encouraged Chuck to back off. But it's moot at this point.
That was my thought as well.
I'm not so sure about that. If the tribunal asks Jimmy where he got the photos, what is his answer? Did a "concerned citizen" just mail them to him? Aside from the reason for his words on tape, Jimmy has been fairly straight with the board. Chuck is many things but he's no fool - he'll figure out who took the…
What did you make of the closing shot of Chuck with the "EXIT" sign?
Agree 100% regarding the copies of the Financial Times. Last week, I was doubtful that Jimmy would use them at the hearing for that very reason. Current guess: Chuck might pick up on this but Howard will somehow prevent him from making an issue of it. Howard is going to be the deal maker here. He wants this this…
I have no idea. But do we even know for sure that he changed his name at all? Couldn't this just be another coincidence? I'm not arguing that's the case here - but it's hard to believe that such a large age discrepancy could be due to an oversight.
Indeed they do still make them but they're not as easy to find. Wal-Mart usually has them.
Anyone else think of "Schrodinger's Cat" during that talk at the bar about the soldier's wife who was married/divorced at the same time? Viewed with all that talk about quantum theory by Zimmerman, it had to be deliberate. That said, I haven't a clue regarding its significance. Maybe there is no significance, and…
Maybe Thaddeus was his son.
Did I miss an explanation of how she knew - with absolute certainty - that Ennis was in fact Thaddeus? The apparent age difference really made we wonder if we were supposed to accept it as gospel. Couldn't Ennis just as easily been a friend (or father, perhaps) of Thaddeus? Or did I just miss something?
You might be right - I honestly have no idea how it's going to play out. But I'd wager the destroy/damage distinction is likely to have some significance at the hearing.
I think it's going to be something like that. It's not really a fraudulent claim for damages because he is out the $2 or so for the broken cassette. But his representations about the existence of a duplicate (or lack thereof) might open the door to fraud or something.
The problem is that several people have heard that tape: Howard, the "witness", Ernie. Switching the tape wold be a very high-risk (and illegal) play and I doubt Kim would have anything to do that. My best guess is that they are going to hit on Chuck's competence and perhaps suggest that he perjured himself…
Good read. You might be on to something there.
