Did Jimmy and Kim anticipate that Chuck would demand a correction of that part of the record to set up a potential perjury situation. Because that's a very long con.

Definitely. But I'm not sure what difference it would make at the bar hearing (as opposed to a court of law) where rules of evidence aren't so strict. Maybe it suggests perjury by Chuck - something in which the state bar would take an interest. That's my best guess at the moment.
And that is likely going to bite him in the ass at the bar hearing. I'm still not clear on the con. Jimmy and Kim were clearly setting something up with the destruction /damaging edit of the statement (both prior to and at the hearing).
The tequila was Zafiro Anjeo: http://breakingbad.wikia.co…ñejo
That was my thought as well. Such evidence would likely be excluded in a trial court but - as said by Chuck - the rules of evidence are much looser with the state bar. I always thought Howard would be most interested in putting this whole thing to bed - having word get out that a lunatic of first order as a named…
Wasn't it tequila (same brand Victor and Gisele are drinking in their early con, blue something or other) in the future pool scene?
I'm not really a trial lawyer but I have seen things like that in court. I worked on a case where two brothers were fighting over their father's estate, and the judge asked both litigants if they thought their father would be proud -looking down from heaven - to see them quarreling over money in open court. He…
You're right. Elle was supposed to be an American production but he couldn't find an American actress (with name recognition) willing to play the part.
Same guy, different Bond film. They used the him in one other too: For Your Eyes Only, I think, after Bond skis off a building or something.
I'm a right-winger who hates Hannity (as do all my right-wing friends). Even when I agree with him he's…just embarrassing. I seldom listen Rush these days but at least he's smart. You may loathe him and his beliefs but it's hard to deny his talent. Hannity is a dolt.
And thanks for this too!
Thanks for this.
It really is. A hell of a lot more enjoyable than GTA V and legitimately funny.
I had the exact same reaction. Still great but, yeah; I noticed those things too.
I'm betting on the same thing.
Memories of the squat cobbler?
The tape is going to be blackmail against Jimmy. Jimmy will agree to stop practicing law (and sullying the McGill name) in exchange for Chuck's silence. Jimmy will rise from the ashes as… Saul Goodman.
Just finished it a few days ago and agree. Some chapters are better than others - the Leslie Van Houten chapter, in particular, could have used a good pruning - but his prose is always entertaining. Any fan of Waters will enjoy Role Models but if you start to get bored with a chapter just move on to the next one.
I think "F for Fake" and "The Trial" were pure Welles (unmolested by studios or money troubles), but agree with the rest of your statement
You sound fun.
