I think this episode is particularly confusing, especially if you don't have the context for what they're talking about (like the second home issue). They dump a lot of exposition into whispered conversations, which is pretty tough to pick up on.

Yes. I remember 24 being pre-empted over and over again by snooker or golf and my unending teenage fury. The BBC's difficulty programming shows and meeting all of their public obligations is kind of fascinating to watch—the mistreatment of Buffy and Seinfeld are classic examples.

It's no dumping ground now that everyone in England has freeview, but back then not a lot of people had BBC4.

Wow, nice catch on the carpet. I had never noticed that.

I'm Alan Partridge is a favorite of mine; I'm also very partial to The Day Today, his spoof news series with Chris Morris (the precursor to Brass Eye).

Oh you know me, trying to stir commenters into a frenzy wherever I go.

+1000 Sean. I'm sure all these women are talented. Lauren Lapkus is funny on today's improv4humans. But Jesus Christ does it look bad to not even have a black woman on the longlist. Maybe there's more hiring coming that we don't know about?

The Good Wife has two stables of guest stars: veteran Broadway actors and the entire cast of The Wire.

I agree. The only reason it works at all is that Eli's supposed to be in a listless period while he waits for Peter to run for Governor. But then they keep dropping hints that he's going to get more involved in the firm's business, then nothing happens. I want more shark Eli too!

Yeah, I understand that Will's a workaholic, but it's six months, he can just go on a cruise or tour America's baseball stadiums or something. Spinoff?

The ratings are OK, but by CBS standards they could be better. I'm not too worried about the show's future because CBS can afford to have the prestige it affords. Also, I don't think they'd get rid of Diane, for the same reason, since Christine Baranski pulls in an Emmy nomination every year.

Good call on "Great Firewall." I bet if I revisited it and watched it back-to-back with this one, the Gross/Edelstein material would have hit home harder. Instead, I was mostly trying to remember the details of that episode.

It won't be on next week because CBS won't bother counter-programming the Oscars. I think that's why episodes have been spaced out even in sweeps months — too many award shows and big games on Sunday evening.

Sorry this keeps happening. It's some weird glitch. We'll fix it!

I tend to put about as much effort into writing a review of a sketch as they did into writing it. I mean, they put funny glasses on them. Other than that it was an exact replica.
