Isn't there some red sweater thing as well? I'm gonna need to go back and check the tape on this one.

I think you mean when Donna used to write up SUNNY, before I ruined that one for everyone as well.

I do like the joke…opium is funny. I wish it was the centerpiece of the episode, though. But Peterman's speeches rarely do it for me.

I love that he says that and he's eating spaghetti in his usual disgusting way. It's great to see George unaware of how gross he is.

You gotta figure he's writing from personal experience, especially about these retirement communities. It's very easy to imagine David upsetting the natural order of things by being his usual irascible self.

I think there's good double eps but you do have to accept that they're gonna stretch their jokes a little thin. "The Pilot" is the ultimate double ep, in my eyes.

That's true, but I still thought it was weird it didn't come up, just because Rory never lost hope when Amy did. But then, like you say, Amy was getting older, and she'd been left for years by the Doctor before, so her coldness was pretty justified.

That was the first thought that occurred to me too. Cause there was also Party Down-esque music playing, but it was just off enough that it's probably avoiding any Starz lawsuits?

Haha. You're absolutely right.

Right. Maybe that's why they made the change? Cause that's usually how they do.

BTW
Apparently this episode is also being called "Let's Get Out Of Here." Shrug. It says "Run" on my screener but it wouldn't be the first time they changed ep titles.

That was somehow moving!

but no larry the cable guy!

Oh, I'm so thoughtful!

I'm willing to believe I'm way off.

This week's NTSF was the first I really liked, the show's been a bit of a slow starter for me. But there weren't any lulls.

the iBrain episode and the Wittels/Leggero/Besser episode with King George VI are ones I've been listening to a lot recently. I miss Lil' Gary.

Haris Wittels is definitely my favorite CBB/DR guest ever. Every time I see his name in the episode I give a little "meep" of excitement. But really, this week's main event was Gelman, and his stories are also one of the show's best recurring bits.

Me too! I wrote that she looks like Mary Astor. Not showing any skin, but super-sexy.

Ooh, that is a good moment, I dunno why I forgot about it.
