This was a good year for TV (or at least innovative cross-platform episodic visual entertainment): Horace and Pete, Atlanta, Stranger Things and s4 of The Americans among other good shows have made me much more excited about the overall present and future of TV than I was last year.

I agree that there's an insularity to American Soccer that's very frustrating, and in some ways Klinsmann has run up against that. Though both sides seem to suffer from a stubborn refusal to admit that the United States just doesn't produce world class talent on any kind of regular basis.

The US Men's National Team looks like they're imploding right now, losing 4-0 to Costa Rica at the moment. I think this might be the end for Klinsmann as Manager. A lot of people in American Soccer seem to hate him.
