My main pop culture thing was rewatching season 1 of Bojack Horseman last night. Still, except for maybe the first episode, a very good season. I had it in my mind a few years ago that he still had a lot of movies left, and would be able to try working in different countries. I guess I didn't really realize how old he was, or the condition of his health.

I like Certified Copy, it's the only movie of his I was able to see in a theater. My favorites are probably The Wind Will Carry Us and Taste of Cherry.

Yeah I would rate him as one of the five best filmmakers of all time pretty easily (not that I have a set five, just that I think he'd be a relatively uncontroversial choice).

I saw Finding Dory and it was pretty average. Some funny stuff, but besides the animation quality and the famous voice cast it could've easily been a straight-to-dvd sequel. (The pre-movie short "Piper" was great, tho.)
