Yeah, that penalty shootout was nuts.

Season 2 of Bojack Horseman is something else. Like a successful hybrid of The Simpsons and Mad Men somehow.

Belle & Sebastian and/or The Pogues
IDK…maybe Elvis Costello

Bob Dylan

Sleater Kinney never come to my TV room. =-(

Photos on that site never show up for me =-(

Yeah, that was pretty heavy/timely/surprising. They didn't shy away from the issue, but still managed to make stuff like the threats and mob mentality towards Diane be funny, in it's simultaneous accuracy and absurdity. Very impressive ep.

I didn't watch it live, either, so I was spoiled on Conor's win. But it was still a great show to watch. Lawler vs. MacDonald was an amazing fight.

John McCain has been crusading against it since at least 1907.

I agree with you for the most part. I think it's easy to underrate how much the energy sagged. Especially with Troy leaving, but even Pierce and Shirley. The replacement Groupers were all more realistic, reserved characters. Which fit the Community College setting, but the group rapport and the electricity took a big

Some of the foundations of your theory I can partly agree with. Pierce, Shirley and Troy did often feel like their characters were suffering in s 3-5, though there were still bright spots. I also feel that Frankie, Ellroy and Hickey were surprisingly interesting characters, and that the show was very invested in

I haven't heard the commentary, but Rosenbaum's writing on Kiarostami is great. It also had a pretty big influence on bringing his work to a wider audience (although he was already being recognized at film festivals and with awards pretty early on). One of the things that first made me want to go buy Rosenbaum's books
