A BIG JERK

I hated Dirty Dancing but Ghost was ok. And Point Break was pretty fun. Uh…I guess that's it?

The buzz is that the original cut was bleaker and fucked over.

The only movies here that don't interest me are Fish Tank, Father of my Childrenand Hadewijch. The rest look fairly promising.

I'm going to check out VH anyway, after all, one man's slog is another man's hypnotic journey.

WHOOOOOO!!!

Yeah. I mean, TV is awesome nowadays and all, but you probably chose some of the worst ones to illustrate your point (other than Mad Men, natch).

1. Jerry Lee Lewis Live at the Star Club
2. Sam Cooke Live at the Harlem Square
3. One of the canonical Johnny Cash ones, don't make me choose.

Hey! The Wolfman looks…ok, not that great. But I'll probably watch it for Del Toro and Hopkins.

Yeah but it got pushed back.

Yeah, I understand that, but you can still make a film visually interesting without a big budget. Wherever Judge's talents lie, they aren't really behind the camera.

It's also filmed like a bad sitcom.

I've never felt the need to rewatch either of them to be quite honest.

Ugh…
Couldn't you have done this like 3 weeks ago when I was in DC?

I haven't seen Funny People or B&B Do America, but I think that the difference between judge and Apatow is pretty clear. Judge is primarily a gag based soft-satirist, while Apatow is a rambling character-based filmmaker. Judge's films are messy with great individual jokes while Apatows are bloated with a great sense

I only watched half of Hollywoodland, but I did think that Affleck was actually very good in it. But those Adrian Brody segments were just dreadful.

That pretty much perfectly describes Judge's work Prochujo.

Idiocracy is a mess, but damn if I don't quote "Electrolytes, they're what plants crave" every opportunity I get.

Yeah, this seems fit for TV guide or something.

Yeah, thinkin' the exact same thing.

I left the theater depressed about humanity, which is what I think they were going for.
