@Anywhere I Lay My Head

I legitimately don't understand how you could hate his movies and love his music, they're like the exact same thing.

How the hell do you construe swordfighting skeletons to be "camp" that's the definition of "fucking awesome"

ROOMMATE UPDATE: He just watched like 7 hours of NCIS in a row or something.

When I see a child die I cry tears of joy, and I think quietly to myself: "you sir, director sir, have deserved your extra star from me, A BIG JERK"

It's a stupid name, but it is a real phenomenon among middle-class Cassavetes-lites that are infesting local art theatres these days.

Man, I really didn't see enough movies this summer. Did The Limits of Control come out this summer? because it was owned lots.

Man, how awesome was White Zombie when you were twelve?

Honestly, I don't really care about remaking the blob. Even if it is Zombie, neither of the blob movies have really been that good, even though you would think that concept would give way to a good movie one of these days.

Whatever you do, don't rewatch it.

Ha
I saw that this was a feature and thought for a second that this would be the single most specific ongoing feature imaginable.

I'll be looking forward to the interview then.

Man, that's a fun movie. Iggy Pop? Juvenile Delinquency? C'mon!

Who doesn't know who The Jonas Brothers are?

Water is awesome, what are you talking about.

I'm not using middlebrow as an insult, because I actually like middlebrow movies more than most film snobs, but I think that he applies. Maybe high-middlebrow?

Haha I clicked ctrl+f to see if it mentioned Ozu and sure enough it did. Ozu Oz-owns, but he really doesn't need to be brought up in every review of every domestic Japanese drama. It's like mentioning Cameron whenever you review a blockbuster.

Yeah, it's a bad movie but I still like it better than the later one. I think that both of them are ultimately failures, but I prefer what Lee was going for than whoever directed that other one.

I like Ang Lee well enough, he may be the best middlebrow director working today, but I don't think any of the movies I seen from him can be considered masterpieces. Although I liked The Ice Storm quite a bit.

It's pretty good, I liked it. You can now adjust your opinion accordingly.
