I haven't heard about him being in a fringe sect - his church looks like an average Baptist megachurch and the guy graduated from Liberty University, which is pretty conservative but not too far from mainstream American Christianity.

That sounds… uh… like the employer should be issuing facemasks.

I've always been amused that he's the one who's a worship leader for his church and refuses to sign gay doujins.

Why not Zoidberg?

Do tell?

"been slaughtered"? I'm pretty sure live pigs go in and cuts of meat go out at a processing plant.

Greg Ayres always kinda looked like a reject Guy Fieri, but I never knew he was an ass in real life - what happened?

I both like and dislike the a la carte presentation of albums now, that they're all divided into songs for 99 cents each and now songs have to stand on their own rather than existing in the combined headspace of an album, but on the other hand, did you really want to pay $20 for the two singles you wanted?

Let's get Archmage and Mohd to weigh in on their local TV situations.

But if you don't leave the couch, how will you procure necessities like "food' and "internet"?

Ugh, I never understood people who watch cam rips.

My last job paid $11/hr but was in an unairconditioned air conditioner plant, so it was more of an ironic hell.

For that kind of money I might almost be able to make both ends meat.

Media companies tend to estimate their "losses" by taking every download and counting each one as a lost customer to make it seem like piracy is killing them in Congressional presentations.

For reasons like this, I tend to limit my piracy for stuff from other countries that never got licensed in America, like Hyouka. There's literally no legal availability for those shows.

Pfft, like you're a Top Man.

For what it's worth, Christmas is usually a good time to play those games you got in Humble Bundles and forgot about.

I'm not entirely sure why my parents even bother setting the DVR for it.

It's kinda hard to estimate that since media piracy is one of the most nebulous kinds of theft. Lots of people will do it because there's no cost to them when they wouldn't watch the show if it cost them money, and then you factor in that piracy doesn't, strictly, deprive other people of the supply.

I should work on my TV backlog, but I've been playing so much Borderlands 2 instead.
