Not sure if these are my top 5 but they are the ones that jumped out in my head, in no particular order.

The "I'm Wayne Brady, bitch" is the one misstep in that entire sketch for me. He's just copying the Rick James line. Otherwise it's pretty much flawless.

I haven't rewatched the episode but I don't remember that being clear. She may be crazy but I don't think the same can be said for Ben's mom. She is afraid of her son, but if you're super religious and your kid starts resurrecting cats you might not be too happy about that either.

I think the biggest problem with the formula for this season is that Ben, and by extension us, really doesn't learn anything of note in these little sojourns. He shows up, sees a bunch of weird shit, and then moves on. It's meant to feel like the plot is advancing but nothing is really happening.

Given that some of the other episode names are: Alamogordo, NM, Creed, OK and Damascus, NE I think we can rule out that interpretation.

Yes, and the two letter state abbreviations are not even that old of a change. I checked with on Prof. Wikipedia and it says that it was instituted in 1963, I'm not sure how widely used it was at first because I remember in the 80s being taught to address a letter as "Calif".
