it stinks!
hey! where's tv's loveable "The Critic" Jay Sherman?

Unexpected
(am probably echoing other comments, apologies)
I didn't know how personal your book is, the sort of rawness of this excerpt took me by surprise

Mr.Hudson is obviously of the plug-in variety…

"The Don, The Jasper, The Mr. Hudson"
are those the names of the Male models or the shoes? I'm too confused to do anymore research. In either case, I would love to go by "The Jasper" except I'd make it Teh Jasper. then I'd hit myself with a brick.

Isiah Sheffer just called Etgar Keret an "Israeli Murakami," mix that with stop motion and I am in. And the short story I heard was really lovely.

@miles_underground I totally know what you mean. We're on our like 4 billionth re-watching of the entire NewsRadio series here (comfort show) and just watched the John Ritter episode tonight. It's really sad. But such a good episode, too.

ooh jesse!

born too late
to have ever gone to Max's Kansas City but I am old enuff that I got to catch a few mid-to-late nineties amazing punk and rock gigs at The Continental, (which is some frat hang now. ugh.) even got to catch Dee Dee when I was a wee lil'punk. forever ago.

sigh. I don't watch MTV now, as I fear it. But man, Liquid Televison, Sifl & Olly, Beavis & Butthead, The State… man. we had it SO GOOD in the 90s!
