Spotlight is the first BP since The Greatest Show on Earth - from 1952 - to win only two Oscars, but I think its reputation will hold up a lot better. (And unlike Grand Hotel, it was at least nominated in other categories.)

The Dissolve is dead. Let it go!

You're not wrong, but if The Revenant had won, he also would have been the first person to direct BPs in consecutive years, period.

Well, it doesn't have to be his best - it has to be the best of the five nominees (in theory, anyway - I haven't seen The Revenant yet; of the ones I've seen, I would have gone with Cranston or Fassbender).

I was just thinking the other day about the look on his face after he said "Crash" - all but audibly saying "Whooooooa."

The cutaway when the speakers' faces weren't even onscreen (the principal v. superintendent scene) amused me.

Hey, you've got the star of The Giver, too, so show some fucking respect!

He moves so fast, Spot.IM is like reading the phone book for him.

There ain't nothin' like 'em!
