@ArthurDent oh actually Psychoville is great and that just finished airing so should be available for download.
I'd even contend that series like the Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Deadwood are better than anything made in the UK, and those are just from the last few years.
There' not much of a contest at the moment, but David Attenborough and Stephen Fry are worth the license fee alone. US television seems to have a much wider spectrum - there's a lot worse TV than in the UK and a lot that's far better.
The cast and crew don't seem to care much either - the kid has been recast twice I think.
American Pastoral
Was Weiner alluding to American Pastoral and the fate of Merry Levov in the Thich Quang uc scene?
Neil LaBute knows what girls really think about. Destroying men.

A thousand times no!
Grey Gardens for me just evokes imagery of old people's genitals.
thanks Republibot, that's what I was hoping for.
Ending…
Does this provide anything like a satisfactory ending? I've got the entire series queued up waiting to be watched, but it almost feels like a chore to watch something without some form of closure.
the same to you with pandora
I don't see how downloading music hurts anyone. I download tons of music, and if I like it I buy it. There are dozens of bands I now follow after downloading albums that I would never have investigated otherwise.
Same with me, but there are a few episodes of Stella floating around on the internet.
and he headbutted McG - lifetime pass.
yeah it's purely a culture thing, my main problem with american football is the stop-start nature of the game - ''decent amounts of time to watch replays' interlaced with ads doesn't sound at all like a good thing to me.
As someone who's only just started watching burn notice I can confirm the accent changes straight after the pilot.
