I was a bit baffled by his review as well. It was like Erlewine had never listened to Crazy Horse before and wasn't sure what to expect. I usually agree with his reviews in general, but that was just kind of weird.

You fool! He was the most talented one!
Good lord, who gives a shit. It's still a good movie.
I call bullshit on this playlist.
I'd say he earned that right about 40 years ago.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Excellent books and really the only essential reading I have come across to learn more about the King.
Ah, shoot. No M83?
Couldn't be more wrong on the McCartney tune. Weird and awesome. Very much of a piece of the McCartney II record, made at about the same time.
She is an idiot. The conservative version of Joy Behar.
Hey, what's wrong with George Strait?
What about this reunion?

All due respect, but I don't think Sloan is a "singles" band at all. Many of the album cuts are equally good, if not better, than some of what they chose to release as a single.
I agree Parallel Play was a letdown after Never Hear The End Of It. I think this is the strongest record they've done since Between The Bridges.
Noel's correct.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this album.
Thanks
I dig this album, and am glad it got a good write-up here.
Dave Edmunds is outstanding. But so is Jeff Lynne.
Seconds of Pleasure is out there as a re-issue with some pretty cool bonus tracks, including Everly Bros. covers by just Lowe and Edmunds. Overall, I don't like the record as much as the Lowe and Edmunds records, but it has some great tracks. When I Write The Book is a standout from that record, sung by Lowe.
You really can't go wrong with either this or Jesus of Cool. Both classics.
It is a perfect album, from start to finish.
