Non-Stop made almost $100MM though and Taken 3 was still a success. Yea, nothing's been as successful as the first Taken, but those movies are still a safe-ish bet.
Ironically, his worst performing movie of that ilk has been A Walk Among the Tombstones, which I haven't seen, but heard it's probably the best of those.

Yea, I'd probably normally rank Seventh Continent above Piano Teacher (and perhaps Funny Games as well), but reading about Piano Teacher above really made me remember how effective a lot of those scenes are.

That's the writer of the book he's reading. The original novel of The Princess Bride has the conceit that William Goldman (the author) is presenting an abridged version of "the original Morgenstern" which doesn't actually exist.

Ironically, that's the one I'm least hot on. I don't know, it didn't do anything for me, I guess. Seemed almost too episode and event-driven and as a result his themes didn't really connect with me.

I put off buying Teen Wolf despite it being a very important film of my formative years simply because I was disgusted by the idea of owning Teen Wolf Too and I couldn't purchase it any other way.

She's a great actress. She has the only "heart" in Tron and gives incredibly nuanced performances in Drinking Buddies and Her
