Yea, "Independent Film Conveyance"

Don't ever say "gets a lot of tang" again until you change your avatar picture.

Leo doesn't actually care about whales. He just forked over the money because he wanted to experience the $7,500 reward of a private whale watching trip with Adrian Grenier five times and then have one wine and dine in NYC and one wine and dine in LA ($5,000 each) and then get film advice from the executive producer

Non-Stop made almost $100MM though and Taken 3 was still a success. Yea, nothing's been as successful as the first Taken, but those movies are still a safe-ish bet.
Ironically, his worst performing movie of that ilk has been A Walk Among the Tombstones, which I haven't seen, but heard it's probably the best of those.

Yea, a lot of these dour action flicks are just too Dark, Man.

Irish he'd do more prestige picks though.

How's it difference. Being second cousins who don't realize it is BASICALLY like being married.

He should probably get Emmanuel Lubezki to incorporate some more modern camera techniques in the series of single-take, meandering sequences of vampires talking about politics, philosophy, and life in Austin, TX. He could call it Sucker

I thought he kind of lost his voice a little bit in Fast Blood Nation

Wasn't she in Smurfs 2

I was going to make fun of you for assuming plagiarism, but that's REALLY similar.

Yea, I'd probably normally rank Seventh Continent above Piano Teacher (and perhaps Funny Games as well), but reading about Piano Teacher above really made me remember how effective a lot of those scenes are.

That's the writer of the book he's reading. The original novel of The Princess Bride has the conceit that William Goldman (the author) is presenting an abridged version of "the original Morgenstern" which doesn't actually exist.

Ironically, that's the one I'm least hot on. I don't know, it didn't do anything for me, I guess. Seemed almost too episode and event-driven and as a result his themes didn't really connect with me.

1. Amour
2. Funny Games (both, I guess)
3. The Piano Teacher
4. The Seventh Continent
5. Cache
6. Benny's Video
7. White Ribbon

Has anyone see The Vineyard? It's a terrible horror movie that he wrote, directed, and starred in. Oddest passion project in recent memory.

James Hong is alive.

I put off buying Teen Wolf despite it being a very important film of my formative years simply because I was disgusted by the idea of owning Teen Wolf Too and I couldn't purchase it any other way.

Yea, this is just a list of some things that happened in the movie. Why would anyone need that? Now if he estimated how long Tom Cruise was stuck in this and how many attempts there were, that would be interesting.

She's a great actress. She has the only "heart" in Tron and gives incredibly nuanced performances in Drinking Buddies and Her
