@The Other Bob: Postal Service wasn't completely "no good", but given the experimental adventurousness of "Life is Full of Possibilities" by Dntel, The Postal Service was a let down.

This was a good year for so many artists that didn't make it on the list here: Viktor Vaughn, Four Tet, Broken Social Scene, The Shins, Prefuse 73, Manitoba, The Books….but not Postal Service. Kinda liked Dntel from a couple of years before that, though.

@Cesare: I'm with you, there's no real trace of irony here. I live in Eugene, where this shit is, unfortunately, for real. All the fucking time.

I'm sure the term their looking for here is ne plus ultra.

Just use moderation, please. Remember, each new dick takes something out of you.

Drink its blood and be a real hunter, Robert.

Looks like the good folks at Anus Laptops are changing up their pitch this year:

There's no way Aaron Spelling was involved in requiring this show to include the reference to Christmas 200 times.

Final Fantasy IX with Amon Tobin's Permutation; during this one cutscene there was an intense chase through some tunnel while "Sordid" played. The chase ended the exact moment the song ended, and at the end of this tunnel was a massive city that unfolded while "Night Life" began. It was my Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz

Oh, no. Now all that shit is going to have to be surgically removed from my head.
