Funny, I used to think that to myself whenever I read your posts.

The Austerity Program album has a sticker on it that says “As per Federal Judge order - All proceeds from the sale of this record will go to fund the settlement of US class action suit 82 F.2d 468, 473 (5th Cir. 2006).”  Anyone know what that's about?  I'm sort of assuming it's a joke, but Google was no help in

Here's what came in the box.

I just got my Hydra Head 30CD "grab bag" yesterday.  I'll post the full list in a reply.  I'm pretty excited about it though.  There was nothing I already owned, and a handful of discs or artists that were already on my radar (Torche, Jesu, Cave In).  Plus a whole lot of other stuff I've never heard of before.  Even

Do people really like Looper despite the ending?

Here it is.

Presumably "Classical for Your Baby" includes Debussy's "Pavane pour une infante défunte."

That album is surely inessential, but the capitalization of Classical is not (necessarily) incorrect.  In traditional music-history periodization, the Classical period comes after the Baroque period and before the Romantic Period.  When referring to music of that period, and not just to "any music with an orchestra,"

That Revenge album is so hyperbolically brutal it makes me giggle just to listen to it.  Not really my thing but I tip my hat to that kind of dedication.

I'm with you, Lovecraft, but how would you feel about "open and yearning" in the context of, say, U2's "Rattle and Hum" doc?  Because that seems to be widely reviled as excessively sincere and/or sentimental (though I've never found it objectionable, personally).

Rush in the HOF and on the AVC's best of the year list?  What is happening?  Who spiked my punch?

See now that shit makes me feel like an old man.  I don't really get the podcast thing.  Although I was never much into radio either.
