Did you find the editing in Out of the Past a little weird? It would be in my top three noirs, because I love the story, visuals and acting, but somehow I just couldn't get past what to me seemed like awkward editing.

Did you crack up around about the second or third time that Hammer slaps the answers out of someone?

I celebrated the end of lectures for this trimester by watching a ton of TV and movies. First up on Friday was Black Narcissus, which despite being visually stunning seemed to lack some coherence on the story front and is my least-favourite Powell and Pressburger movie so far.

The reason I watch Mad Men is about the conflict between characters, not because SCDP is

It really ruins the pacing of a movie that already drags to have that number, though I do appreciate the homage to classic musical fantasy sequences.

I watched the Sting and most of season 2 of Frasier. The Sting is really a brilliantly constructed movie, and I loved the ending, though I wasn't a fan of the transitional editing and thought that in places it had a very cheap look and feel about it. I would definitely say 2.5 is my favourite of the series, though I loved the goofy soccer match in 2.4 despite it being a bit broad for the show.
