The first Dune book is pretty great. The second one seemed like an afterthought. Children of Dune was so freaking dry and dull that I never read further.

I missed that thread, so I'm curious as to what the content of the thread was and why it got axed. Was it ugly and toxic or was it simply a case of the commenters having too much off-topic fun?

The little I've seen of Outsourced makes me inclined to agree with you. It's not that fucking bad. I'll go ahead and damn it with faint praise: It's better than new Simpsons.
