I like how outspokenly ambivalent she is about her various projects.

Years ago, the Simpsons felt manic and desperate, attempting to throw out gag after random gag in an attempt to out-Family Guy Family Guy. The recent ones I've seen, while more relaxed and focused on a single story (often rehashed from earlier, better episode) just seem lazy. In both cases, the jokes are horrible.
