Yup. Dreadful performance, dreadful script for that segment.

She's extremely overweight, takes no interest in her appearance (on the show), and wears the least flattering glasses possible.

The show clearly tries to make us believe Alex is not an attractive girl, which is just ridiculous.

Seemed very much in the B range.

Eddie Murphy?

Tomei seems an unlikely casting to play a gender supremacist.

"There was absolutely nothing interesting or new introduced that hasn't
been done a million times not only on Modern Family, but just about
every other sitcom out there."

It's just biology. I'm in my fifties and still date women in their twenties. People are people, and we like what we like.

Good to see someone applauding Bowen. She regularly has some of the least interesting lines and plays the foil more often than not, but when given something to do she really shines. She's also a very gifted physical comedienne.

Your point?

I can't believe Cuoco has been spitting her lines with the exact same rhythms for over 10 years.

Yup. It was quite a lurch for a promising character, and not a good one.

It's interesting how rarely remarked it is that the cast of Seinfeld was quite likeable through the first three-plus seasons, then turned into a pack of rooting sows thereafter. Too bad.

His Lou Bloom is an opportunistic creep par excellence, every bit as can’t-look-away repulsive as Travis Bickle.

What a disaster.

"Mr. McPickleshitter."

Holy Mackerel! Orson Welles did voice work in the movie!

I wonder if they were having problems in production, though. There's a clear continuity blunder in that scene; there was no way the parking court of the quarry would have filled up with Sue just standing there, and they forgot the scene where by using Big Mike's phone Axl picks off problems at the quarry.

I didn't quite get it. Is a (the) bookish kid going to suddenly start recreating old game shows in the family room?

It wasn't clear to me whether Frankie was going to also get paid for the day she came in (I assume so) or was just being straight out blackmailed.
