Fresh Prince is still pretty big in Australia, I think. Re-runs were going well after the show wrapped up, and it's one of those things that EVERYONE of a certain age knows the theme song to. I think I only really started getting into the show around the mid-2000s. It was a show to relax to coming home from uni every

We can't dance, we don't talk much, we just ball and play, but then we move like tigers on vaseline.

"Swan. He has no other name. His past is a mystery, but his work is already a legend. He wrote and produced his first gold record at fourteen. In the years since then, he has won so many others, that he once tried to deposit them in Fort Knox. He brought the Blues to Britain. He brought Liverpool to America. He

Ian Holm, Lance Henriksen, Winona Ryder, Michael Fassbender. Yep, there's definitely an odd one in there.

I think I saw "Gallipoli" about 3-4 times in school.

We were stuck with John Howard in charge for eleven years! At least the US only had W for eight (granted, Bush did more damage in his 8 years than Howard did in his 11…)

I wonder if Bowie felt like the Angel of Death after Bing and Bolan kicked the bucket after appearing on TV with him. Could've been the inspiration for "Look Back in Anger" - which of course, featured on the first album Bowie released since BC and MB died.

Another case where the headlining-and-therefore-"classier" actress keeps her clothes on, only to be upstaged by the lesser-known actress who's willing to do nudity. Like Denise Richards spiriting "Wild Things" away from Neve Campbell.

BOO-URNS!!!

TWO! FOUR! SIX! EIGHT! HOMER'S CRIME WAS VERY GREAT!

Ryder?? I hardly know her!

"I suppose there's also a very slim possibility that you're confusing David Bowie with Malcolm McDowell."

…and what about "Kooks"? You could argue that Bowie never did a more emotionally-direct song than this twee, catchy number for his newborn son.

"The Buddha of Suburbia" is brilliant. "Black Tie White Noise" is half a good album (a fair bit of filler) and "1.Outside" has its moments (I feel guilty for not liking it more than I do, though. On paper at least, it's the most significant Bowie album of the last couple of decades.)

Now we all have to brace ourselves for the onslaught of reviews that say "It's Bowie's best album since "Scary Monsters"…"

"It’s funny that it only took 47 years for this musical genius to release his first good, emotionally direct song…"
