I was going to mention the D-Gen but you beat me to it.

…and "The Exorcist."
"Nothing"? You think playing Robert Vaughan's squeaky-voiced moll in "Superman III" is nothing? (If so, you'd be right.)
…and I think it doesn't have "Eat the Rich" either.
The box set is slightly out of date since more episodes have been made since it was compiled. But then the latest episodes aren't supposed to be much cop, so maybe it's best the box stands as is.
And the boss was played by Sgt Apone from "Aliens." And didn't Elvis Costello do a cameo in that episode?
I think the first appearance of Alan Partridge was in "On the Hour" (the radio predecessor of "The Day Today"). Also the first appearance of Rosy May, Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan, and Barbara Wintergreen.
Poor Winona was doing her best to keep the sexy in that movie by pursing her lips and exposing an inch of cleavage…while Sadie Frost spent most of the film panting and writhing around topless.
BARNEY FOREVER, Wino never!
The art of the cliffhanger kinda tapered out in 1980s DW, didn't it? Although there were still some good ones here and there - Earthshock part 1, The Caves of Androzani part 3, Remembrance of the Daleks part 1… As far as I can recall, most of the Colin Baker cliffhangers (granted, there aren't many) involved Colin…
Mr. Greene
They were still fiddling around with the titles in season 8 - for example, "Terror of the Autons" has the Troughton-era theme music, with the longer intro, and the middle-eight.
Can't wait for "The Mind of Evil" to be released in some shape or form of DVD, because then the entire Pertwee era is out. And after "Terror of the Zygons" and "Shada" go on sale, all we need to wait on are pieced-together incomplete Hartnell and Troughton serials.
I'm not sure I can even watch Mike Yates anymore, what with that creepy story about Richard Franklin's sleepover with a "Doctor Who" fan…
Has there ever been anything quite like "The Comic Strip Presents"?? Its format was so wild and flexible, every episode you get something different. The fact that most episodes were self-contained, with the same actors playing different characters every week, plus the fact that they were shot on film rather than…
I'd say "On the Hour" was the incubator - and in addition to the personnel you've mentioned, there's also Stewart Lee and Richard Herring, who were writers for "On the Hour" but were replaced by Linehan and Mathews when the show moved to TV as "The Day Today."
I had only vague memories of “Ambassadors of Death” until a few months ago, and when I popped the DVD on I was expecting to be in for a typical Pertwee slog-a-thon with too much padding. Man, was I wrong. I can’t get over how much I loved this serial – I think it could be the best story of season 7, something I never…
"Robin of Sherwood" is untouchably awesome. The definitive version of Robin Hood.

Yeah, surprising choice of song for the Manics to cover, but man, they did pull it off.
