I don't think American cities are really old enough.

There is also a TV adaptation of Neverwhere, which is a bit messy but quite fun. Croup and Vandemar are perfectly cast. I have positive feelings about the impending American Gods show, though poor casting could sink it.

I mean in the sense that knowing people requires trying to see them as they are, not looking for clues that you have a future together. I just think folks are putting the cart in front of the horse. I've been with people who put everything I said through the filter of their hopes and then somehow were surprised 6

That's why I've never understood the concept of dating. I don't think it's possible to get to know someone realistically if you already want something from them. Of course sometimes you just fall for them for no known reason, in which case you'd better enjoy it while you can.

In a sane world, people wouldn't bother having relationships with people they wouldn't like to be friends with forever.

Short Bus has comedic elements that work, and the sex is fairly unimportant. I know a lot of people thought it was stupid, but I found it complex and kind of sweet. I might be biased because the same guy made Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which I loved.

Yes, the show has been almost heroic in its commitment to the "straight man" role so valuable in good comedy.

Is Angie the one Book-Junior killed on like page 6?

I've seen both but had only the briefest encounters with the manga. Is one of them more faithful to the source material? I remember certain early chapters being almost the same in the two versions, and then a wide divergence later on.

Yes please.

Eric Carle?

I've driven over half a dozen covered bridges in Ct that could have been the one from that movie. You would think it would have a plaque or something.

Almost-but-not-quite home of Ross Noble.

You don't need pop culture when you've got cutthroat trout fishing like that.

There is one band from Charleston that anyone has heard of, if the Mountain Stage Band counts. Only other decent West Virginia band I know of is Th'Inbred from Morgantown.

It wasn't just their album collection though. They also created and distributed several "compilations" of techno acid beat with a lineup of fictional bands. I personally didn't care much for Jack the Tab or any of their other pseudonyms (my favorite Psychic TV albums are Live in Heaven and A Pagan Day), but it went

Here's hoping that Live in Heaven ever gets a relelease.

Don't forget Foetus Uber Frisco.

I defy anyone who likes to dance to try sitting still while Hernlego plays.

That album is almost incestuous on several levels, and totally hypnotic.
