I thought the first 3 episodes of Girls lived up to all the backlash and criticism, then it got good. It's like all of this is subjective and not just the workings of sexism/racism/classism or something.

I don't understand the Sex and the City comparisons. It's nothing like that show. It's also nothing like Enlightened…so maybe you should check it out. The first 3 episodes suck, but then it clicks somewhere around "Hannah's Diary".
