Oh, I don't know.  The Aussie one does air six episodes per week, true, but there are at least two eliminations every week and they have fantastic guest chefs and challenges.  This season we've had the contestants cooking against Jamie Oliver and being set challenges by Heston Blumenthal, Rick Stein and Marco Pierre

Everyone involved with this show needs to be forced to watch the Australian version of Masterchef - that way they'll see that exciting, compelling TV can result from a group of contestants who not only care about each other and refrain from trash-talking or smirking to camera, but also display proper cooking skills.
