I know this is a South Park reference, but I hate it when people act like disliking certain female comics is an attack on feminism.
She's a hack and a joke thief, and she tried to use Tig's cancer to increase her visibility.

The videos I recall linked in that piece spoke for themselves.

Now that ATHF is over, the only thing I give a shit about re the channel is their support of On Cinema and Decker.

The many jokes at the expense of the blind, for one example, used to be an easy criticism. But honestly, the show just fucking sucks independently of any social or political concerns.

"Still with this guy?"

Oh, we will. As an entire nation, possibly to the ruin of the world. But good on you for holding your ground on something that definitely wasn't a republican talking point. Institutional racism is now dead, and when we're all huddled around the trash fire for warmth, we'll let you have the honored first opportunity to

And the Nick Cave/Warren Ellis soundtrack takes them outside of their comfort zone. Tonally, it's not pastoral at all, and much of it even occupies the same sonic territory as Skeleton Tree. AVClub grades, particularly for documentaries, seem to be wildly off the mark for me lately. Excited to watch this.

Except even the tiniest bit of googling could show you you're full of shit. The song was written in 1991, and the songwriter has acknowledged the misconception and gone on record saying it wasn't about Cobain or drugs. But carry on, and keep listening to awesome, timeless music.

I just had to re download No Depo$it, as I remember nothing about it. It's possible I listened while drunk or severely hungover.

I ate their once, got about halfway through their smallest size, and just felt ashamed of myself.

I had it, but I can't remember what I paid. But I got burned a lot back then. I learned pretty quick as an 8 year old to rent first.

I've listened to that one a bunch, and I'm positive they mentioned that. The amount of outright glee they displayed in that episode made me stop the thing and watch the movie the first time I heard it.

I mean, if you're going to go after a guy for being pretentious or whatever, his capacity for empathy seems a weird sticking point. Cliched as it might be to say, if everyone read "This is Water" and at least tried to take it to heart a little bit, the world might be a better place.

The man never It's My Lifed in his life.

How fucking ignorant can Christie be? Springsteen's basically been an outspoken liberal as long as he's been in the public eye.

It's interesting you think they've had a dry spell. I think the movies they've been covering have been pretty weak subjects for general goofery (we really need a Fateful Findings or an A Talking Cat!??!?), but IMO the quality of the show itself has been very consistent. I also appreciate that Elliot's missed barely

I've never listened to the podcast, but I'm currently LOVING the audiobook of his fake memoir.

<getoffmylawn>Kids today will send death threats over games that get shipped with day-one patches, where when I was a kid you'd spend $50-60 bucks on some shit where they "forgot" to add save points.</getoffmylawn>

It's particularly funny because I read Infinite Jest this summer, and aside from a passing reference to BEE as "ghastly," I think that's about as one-sided a fight as there's ever been.
