I felt the same. I enjoyed Franzen's writing, but I hated every single member of the central family.

But Flo is the most famous alum from my college!  She's all I've got.  Well, her and Paul Reiser.

I'm curious, but not curious enough to read the comics - why are the chained zombies so docile?  We've seen zombies with no legs still trying to eat brains.  Why would no arms or jaw make them into obedient pets?  Shouldn't they still be trying to eat Michonne?

You are all probably right - I was too harsh earlier.  I don't think Cuban dislikes Simmons necessarily, but it did seem that whenever Simmons would phrase something like "Well, what I think is…" Cuban would give some comment along the lines of "I really don't care what you think".  It could be good natured poking-fun

Anyone else listen to the BS Report earlier this week with Mark Cuban?  I'm not that interested in Cuban per se, but it was fun to hear how little he thinks of Simmons.  He made no attempt to hide how little he thinks of Simmons' opinions on basketball.

I laugh every time as well - I think it's Jerry's eye roll after Kramer falls that does it for me.

Sean O'Neal killed him and absorbed his essence.  Then the AV Club killed Sean O'Neal.  And then they fired him.  But now he's back.

I am with you Craig.  I guess the reality is that I like Bill Simmons when he just sticks to meaningless topics like sports and pop culture.  But when he tries to address other topics with any seriousness, he brings little of value.  If he would have just whined about the NBA season being cancelled, that would be one

Did anyone listen to the recent 2 part BS report on the NBA lockout?  Bill Simmons was atrocious.  Despite his apparent thoughts to the contrary, he has no actual inside knowledge of the NBA lockout negotiations – only what pieces the involved, biased parties decide to leak to the media.  And yet he yammers on about

I say the pun-runs are so bad they're good.  A good pun should be groan inducing, and Zaltzman pushes it so far that it just becomes funny.  And Jon Oliver's reactions help add to the humor.  But the Congressman's Penis is just plain bad.  Bringing it back for a second time was funny because I think Jon was genuinely

OK, I listened to it and I admit I was wrong.  Thanks for the opinions.

That is the only reason I clicked on the review.

I refused to download or listen to the BS Report episode this week which talked about Hunter S. Thompson.  I just question the timing - it seems to me to be a commercial for the Rum Diary.  Obviously products must be plugged, but it just seems like the BS Report is the wrong venue for this topic.  Did anyone listen to

I was one of those who claimed to drop the show.  I never did drop it, and I listened to this week's episode about the pants.  You're right Podricast, it was a really good episode.  I agree with your whole synopsis.

Agreed with Curly and Luiz.  I enjoy Carolla's podcast, but I'm not always the biggest fan of the live versions.  But the recent one with Carolla and Maron really surprised me with how much fun it was.  It just felt like he and Carolla were both in good moods and got into story telling mode and genuinely were enjoying

I'll be honest on breaking the ice, someone else basically said the same thing I did a few weeks ago, and I replied that I was still hanging in there because I like Hodgman.  But after Unbanded Brothers I have just had enough.  The guests are now so self aware and annoying.  I'm tempted to listen to this week's new

As much as I love John Hodgman, I think I am done with the Judge John Hodgman podcast.  Of late, the complainant/defendant have been terrible.  It was a fun, charming podcast early on.  But now the guests seem to want to abuse the platform and most of them are intolerable d-bags.  Last week's episode reviewed above

I agree with you as well, but I am still listening purely out of a sense of loyalty to John Hodgman.  There were an annoying few cases - which Hodgman immediately called out - which seemed to be textbook "buzz" marketing instead of a real case (whatever a "real" case is).  Those were rough.

She'll be played by the actor who recently portrayed Li'l Sebastian.

Have there been any Grantland network podcasts worth listening to?  I've been underwhelmed with the writing, so I've been reluctant to listen to any of the podcasts.  Sound quality issues aside (which would surprise me as well), has the content been worth hearing?
