I guess I'm the only one who actually liked the set-up segment more than the meat of the story. It was weird and mysterious, oddly put together, more a collection of scenes, but it seemed more fresh and interesting than the lusty, forbidden love in an exotic locale romance novel bullshit that followed.

Apple is of course majorly responsible for the "touch screen everything!" craze, but they had the good sense to realize its limitations. There was a lot of research on touch screen iMacs that was done under Jobs, but he decided to drop it because it wasn't ergonomically sensible and it didn't add to functionality.

I don’t know about “dumber”, but I definitely don’t think you
should be writing about films.

It's kind of a sad statement on our jadedness when images of the fucking UNIVERSE and the origins of life get derided as "glorified screen saver."
