You are not alone. I've seen Timeline on tv at least 3 times, and it only gets better with repeat viewings.

has some of the most beautiful shots I've seen on TV. I'm thinking specifically of Starbuck watching herself burn in the dark, but especially the shot in Revelations where the ships arrive at the very edge of Earth and hover there for a moment.

I have a very poorly-formed theory about being able to jump through time as well as space, which would allow the fleet to jump to earth before it gets destroyed. It would also somewhat explain how Starbuck could have crashed and then come back in a brand-new plane.

It reminded me of one episode in the final season of Buffy when a slayer kills herself. (God, I'm a geek.) Instead of grieving, Buffy gets pissed and says the girl was stupid.
