It's really hard for me to judge this as a pilot on it's own seeing as it's so heavily dependent with the set-up lore and characters brought from Arrow and the Flash.

Except every Flash review to say how much it sucks.

Do you do anything put come on and bitch about every CW DC show?

Someone, for the love of God, pair Captain Cold up with Lance from Arrow for some buddy spin-off Cop works with Criminal show.
The sheer amount of snark and one-liners would kill me.

"Can I get some of those roofies?"
"I didn't roofie him!"
"I ain't judging."

I don't know….Nazi fatigue?

Well…this is about the 1,000th or so piece of media to use real events where a lot people died to tell a fantasy/sci-fi adventure tale.

I think Marvel's got enough snark and quipping with Iron Man, Star Lord, and Ant-Man.

This just seems like the AV Club reading way too much into an offhand comment as an opportunity to give more shit to the DCMU or whatever the hell they're calling it.

With the color palette of the Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond pearls, and the fact that the only other Pearls we see have been from Diamonds, I'm kinda theorizing/hoping for a backstory where Pearl belonged to White Diamond before gaining an identity and independence and breaking off to join Rose Quartz.

Jesus, Steven….not all Pearls know each other.

After having fulfilled the American dream of telling her boss to go fuck herself, Peridot finally finds her place on Earth.

I think you did?
Though, with Gotham, it's entirely possible that I tuned something out along the way.

They even have Captain Cold action figures? That's gonna stroke some ego.
I really want the character's actual reaction to that on screen.
And also Heat Wave's anger when he finds out there isn't one of him.

Well, the episode where Galavan killed Penguin's mom, when asked what Galavan had hidden by a party guest she replied that he was good in bed, so…they were spreading the line thin there.
Also doesn't help that they look nothing alike.

Recent rumors now have it as Lance in the grave which is depressing as fuck if true.

I don't mean to sound like a some stuck-up Tumblr user, but it pretty much just comes off as good old-fashioned misogyny.

Nah, but this was better.

Nah, but this was better.

Good god, did IGN seriously just put this on par with last night's Gotham episode?
