Great impressions because he doesn't overdo any of them - no screaming Pacino, no over-the-top Walken.  And who the hell does a Duvall impression?  Really entertaining.

Agreed with the Joe Cocker selection - particularly She Came in through the Bathroom Window

My favorite moment was when the Would You Rather theme started and Alison (naturally) started talking.  Scott's immediate "shut up" to her made me laugh out loud.

It's really strange that people seem to have settled on this idea that Philip is more marketable than Jessica is.  I can't imagine why it would be so difficult for the American Idol machine to make a pop star out of an attractive 16-year-old with a near-perfect voice.  No, she doesn't seem to have much of a

Of course he knows the actor who delivers the Klimt line in Back to School - it was TV's Tim Stack aka Notch Johnson and Dick Dietrick.

@avclub-dd5321bef3221ce6653c54293a545c71:disqus You're referring to Fourvel, of course (as opposed to Fivel). Maybe the hardest I've ever laughed during CBB.

I follow him on twitter, so at some point I knew he was going to be on the show.  Still took a while to recognize him.

How about the Commitments?  Yes, they're white kids approximating "real" soul music, but, they somehow pull it off.  I can certainly see why they became a minor local sensation, before imploding, of course.

Cake Boss!

It is very good to hear.  I hated Falling Down because, unless I missed something (and I was young when I saw it), the film seemed to completely agree with the character's motivations and actions.  There's only so much "angry white male" I can take before it gets ridiculous.  Sounds like this movie has the right

Frank Gallagher on Shameless (U.S. version).  Not the classic hero, but he's definitely portrayed on the show as an anti-hero.  So many great characters, but the show is at its worst when it's focused on Frank.

I may be overthinking this, but I think the Hilary Clington thing was a misunderstanding.  For whatever reason, those carts were named after American dignitaries.  There was a Barack Obama one and then Hilary "Clington".  I don't think the "g" was part of some kind of joke - I think it was painted on the cart

The only thing I remember about the Uncle Buck TV show was the press it got for having a kid say that something "sucks".  That was a big deal at that time.
